What is the mission of the Payne-Phalen Community Band?
The mission of the band is:
1. Promoting the continued musical education and musical growth of the members
2. Supporting music education in Saint Paul Public Schools
3. Fostering a greater appreciation for band music by offering concerts to the public.
When and where does the Payne-Phalen Community Band meet?
Every Monday from 7-9pm from September through June. The band rehearses in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood at Johnson Senior High School.
When are the concerts?
We play concerts in early fall, December, in the spring, and then a final concert in June. We take the summer off.
Who can join?
The Payne-Phalen Community Band is open to anyone! Band members should be comfortable playing at least high school level music.  If you are a current high school student, you must be 16 or older in order to join - this is not a class, so you must be self-motivated to be in this group.

We play a wide variety of high quality wind band literature:
-Standard Wind Band Repertoire
