As a nonprofit organization, we are required to have a board and run board meetings to ensure that our organization is following all applicable laws and providing oversight for the band. For the first year, our principal conductor will be serving as President and Treasurer, Melanie Lunda will be serving as Vice President, and Melissa Choquette will be serving as Comedic Relief (secretary). These board members are filling the position to maintain our legal status while the band gets established. Our main goals as a board this year: get the organization registered as a 501(c)3 charity, seek grants, cover rehearsal space expenses, licensing fees/requests, and begin to build our music library. At our first annual meeting in June 2026, we will have our first election for a board filled by members of the band.
